  • Ontario Trillium Foundation

    Thanks to the funding provided by the Ontario Trillium Foundation, we have been able to perform some much-needed upgrades to the shelter kitchens at both our King Street and Culp Street emergency shelters. This investment not only enhances our facilities but also ensures that our residents receive nourishing meals in a warm, welcoming environment.   • Crystal D'Cunha Rallies Community for Christmas

    A sincere salute to Crystal D'Cunha for her extraordinary initiative on behalf of the YWCA Niagara Region! In a heartwarming gesture, Crystal launched a fundraiser, rallying community members to contribute $35 each—enough to provide a Christmas meal for families experiencing homelessness. With unwavering dedication, she not only reached her goal but surpassed it, enabling us to feed over 150 families on Christmas day!

    Crystal's compassion didn't stop there. Recognizing the importance of spreading festive cheer, she used the surplus funds to purchase cozy pajamas for the kids in our shelters. Through her inspiring efforts, Crystal has not only nourished bodies but also warmed hearts during the holiday season. heartfelt thank you to Crystal D'Cunha, son Zorique, the volunteers who received this massive donation and our community for embodying the spirit of giving and making a lasting impact on those we serve at the YWCA Niagara Region!

  • Niagara Heritage Quilters' Guild

    A heartfelt thank you to the Niagara Heritage Quilters Guild for their incredible generosity! In a labor of love that spans over countless hours, guild members crafted beautiful quilts and pillowcases for our clients at the YWCA Niagara Region. A simple pattern alone takes at least 10 hours, and their dedication is evident in the abundance of comforting creations they have shared!

    These handcrafted gifts, each stitch a testament to compassion, bring not only physical warmth but also a sense of comfort and security to those we serve. We extend our deepest gratitude to the guild for wrapping our clients in the warmth of your craftsmanship and care.

  • Royal Canadian Legion Branch 479

    We are grateful beyond words for the incredible generosity of our friends at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 479! Not only did they collect Christmas gifts for children staying in shelter, but their heartwarming donation of $2000 ensures that every child staying at the YW shelters has a magical Christmas morning. Thank you for making this season brighter and spreading joy to local children experiencing homelessness. Your kindness truly knows no bounds!

With your donation, you support emergency shelters for women, men, gender-diverse folks and children, a safe house for human trafficking survivors, 15 units for people who are chronically homeless, skills development workshops for kids in schools as well as people in our shelters, WARM - a program for female-identifying individuals struggling with addiction, and STOMT - a program for individuals involved in survival sex trade work.
